WSIS&SDG TalkX - International Day of Older Persons: Resilience in a Changing World

The International Day of Older persons is observed on 1 October every year, aiming to raise awareness about issues faced by older persons, but to also appreciate the contributions that older persons make to society. The 2022 theme of the UN International Day of Older Persons, “Resilience of Older Persons in a Changing World”, serves as a hallmark and reminder of the significant role older women play in traversing global challenges and contributing to their solutions with resilience and fortitude.

This WSIS&SDG TalkX will gather a multistakeholder panel to highlight the resilience of older women in the face of environmental, social, economic and lifelong inequalities, with a primary focus on how Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have been and are still playing a major role.
