Workplace well- being is one of the key factors that determine the effectiveness of the organization. It entails a holistic account for all aspects of working life, from the quality of of work to safety at workplace.
This session aims to look at the ways in which individuals and organisations have tackled the challenges posed by COVID 19 and their attempts and successes in promoting happiness and well-being in a workplace setting.

Ulrika Martinius is the Deputy Chief, Human Resources Management Department at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). She joined in 2018, with ITU being her third UN specialized agency after WHO (New Delhi, India) and IFAD (Rome, Italy), leading and transforming HR with a focus on wellbeing, supporting an employee-oriented and pro-active workforce. She holds a BSc in Human Resources Development and Labor Relations, a Master in Business Administration, and a chartered member of the CIPD.

Suzanne Dee Pedersen is Director of Culture & Talent at Asian Development Bank (ADB). She joint ADB after nearly ten years as Chief of the Talent Management Branch in the specialized United Nation agency, International Labour Organization (ILO). Throughout her career she has been an advocate for ambitious organizational change and leads transformation and service innovation for impact and results. She holds a BSc in International Business Administration and Languages, an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, majoring in Human Resource Management, and a PhD in Business Administration, specializing in Learning and Innovation. She embraces diversity as a basic condition for personal and organizational growth.

Danijela Milic is currently serving as the HR Policies Officer at the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC), responsible for a broad range of policies related to conditions of service of UN common system staff, including duty of care and wellbeing. She is also the ICSC communications coordinator on the COVID-19 response and a Board member of AHRMIO. Ms. Milic managed the UN System COVID-19 Mental Health and Well-being Survey 2020, including facilitating the engagement of the external company, survey design and effective communication to ensure as wide participation as possible. She is part of the UN Mental Health and Wellbeing Team working closely with other UN system organizations on the survey follow-up and various activities World Mental Health Month (October 2020) and championing mental health and wellbeing.

Co-founder of the SoHappy Institute , professional coach and trainer with Happy at Work and volunteer with Action for Happiness, Sophie d'Hooghe dedicates her professional life to enabling individuals and companies developing happier lives and workplaces.
