The session will explore the new education and certification framework the Data Management Association is developing in partnership with FIT Academy. 

The framework is designed to Mid and High Schools students, to prepare them to Universities and the Professional world with solid fundamentals of Data and Information Management.

Following last year launch and presentation at WSIS 2020, during this year session you will be presented with key principles of the framework, goals and aims, as well as the progress to date, roadmap from inception to trial, launch, standardisation and international roll-out.

Facilitated by DAMA Italy President and MIT CDO European Director and FIT Academy Partner, the Panellists will be able to address present the various aspects of the initiatives and answers to attendees’ questions and requests to collaborate.  

During this session you will also have the opportunity to "meet" the recipient of this initiative...the Students!

Rut Cervera
Rut Cervera International Liaison Officer FIT Academy Moderator

Rut Cervera is FIT Academy International Liaison Officer, leading communications and liaison between FIT and the local and global Data Management communities. 

With a wealth of experience in event management and coordiantion as well as stakeholder engagement with profit and non for profit organisation alike, Rut will moderate the Data High session and act as key focal point for the programme future development and involvements. 

 


Dr Michele Valentini
Dr Michele Valentini Partner FIT Academy

Dr Michele Valentini is a well known theorist for Data Management education and professional development.

PhD in Mathematics, after several years of teaching, moved to the consulting sector where he has delivered Data Management Training Programme for various public and private firms and sectors, addressing the needs of Executives, Data Management Professionals and Data Community with hundreds of users.

Dr Valentini is currently Partner of FIT Strategy and Head of FIT Academy Advanced Data Management training. His Data Quality Manifesto was published in 2019.  


Nino Letteriello
Nino Letteriello President DAMA & MIT

Internationally recognised Data Management expert and advisor to various European Governments information management programmes, Nino is the recipient of the DAMA International Excellence Award 2020, part of the top 100 data and analytics most influential people of 2021 and has spent last few years sharing, promoting and educating corporate and no for profit institutes on Data and Information Management best practises and standards.

Nino is current President of the Italian Data Management Association and the first Europe, Middle East and Africa Regional Coordinator (EMEA) for DAMA as well as MIT CDO Symposium Co-Chair promoting initiatives on Women in Data, Ethical Data Management, Data Benefit for Communities and Smart and Sustainable Travel.


Dr Paolo Valentini
Dr Paolo Valentini Cultural Manager and Professor Karis Foundation

Dr Paolo Valentini is cultural manager for Karis Foundation schools in Rimini – Italy (1300 + students) and Principal of the Liceo Scientifico “Georges Lemaitre”. Italian and Latin literature Professor, Paolo is specialised in Philology and Medieval Literature, with focus on the Dante Alighieri “Commedia”. Paolo founded “Centocanti”, a cultural association promoting Dante’s opera all over the world, and is member of the scientific committee of recent edition of “Inferno” and “Purgatorio”, published by Mondadori editor.


Anna Tramarin
Anna Tramarin Teacher Karis Foundation

Ph.D. in Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Sciences, after her first experiences as a young researcher with competences in the application of biophysical and biochemical methods for drug development and discovery, she  is teaching Chemistry, Biology and Earth Sciences in several classes of Karis Foundation High School In Rimini, Italy.

Used to work in International collaborative projects and experienced member of a research team, she supported the development of first training Interventions of Data High project.

The session will focus on the concept of Data and the importance of Data in 2021 and beyond.
Over and above the technology implemented, the session will provide an insight on the proposed framework and certification and educational path to achieve awareness of benefits, international and regional cooperation opportunities and ethical challenges of the data and information era.

Data is NOT the new Oil. Data is everywhere, can be shared and reproduced, simultaneously used and reused, aggregated and integrated. Data can be inclusive and sustainably used by all and to the benefit of all; however, to ensure Data is adequately managed and its value fully unleashed and shared with the wider community, a common Data Management framework with clear standards and guiding principles is needed.

During the session, we will share our no for profit and inclusive educational proposal for the new generations to fully embrace and benefit the potential of Data.
