Taking into account the WSIS+10 High-Level Event Outcome Documents and the revised text of the Action Line C5, the importance of Child Online Protection (COP) and youth empowerment was recognized.

On the occasion of the 10 year anniversary of the Child Online Protection Initiative, the High Level Dialogue will be focusing on the empowerment of children in the digital age.  The invited panelists will highlight their experience and insights on the measures taken from 2008 to advance child online protection at the international level. As the data is still alarming and evidence shows high rates of online violence against children, panelists will also be asked to highlight priorities and actions to be taken in the near future.
