Hubco: An e-Commerce Service with ICT Development Impacts on the Businesses of I. R. Iran

Hubco

Hubco is a Web-based service-oriented e-commerce system that included a software solution along with all the needed processes (e.g. development, training, support, sales and marketing, business consultancy and empowerment) and infrastructures for providing the SCM functionalities as a service to the suppliers and consumers. Hubco Network launched 2 years ago and it acts as a match-making service among consumers of materials and their suppliers in order to get informed of the price and level of quality of the good they need. The primary target audiences of this network are more than 3 million small and large businesses in the country. Now, the system is active in the cement, power, industry, food, transportation and steel industries. One of the services of this network is e-procurement. Consumers send their RFQ to this network and interested suppliers provide their responses to these RFQs. The consumer can see and compare the responses and choose the best supplier among the existing suppliers with the help of this system. In addition to the primary services that are provided in this network, analytical business reports, advertisement services, and cross-cutting services are among the other secondary services of this network.
