Information about the project
inSCALE APE CommCare Application
The inSCALE project aims to increase coverage of integrated community case management (ICCM) of children with diarrhoea, malaria, and pneumonia in Uganda and Mozambique. The app acts as part of the ICCM intervention to support APEs (Agente Polivalentes Elementares, or CHWs) during their patient visits. It is designed to as a support tool for APEs to diagnose, treat and refer patients as well as recognise danger signs in pregnant women and newborns for referral and follow-up. The app suggests the treatment and follow-up needed, and includes a self-report at the end of a patient consultation which tells supervisors about APE performance. The app is entirely in Portuguese.
