Information about the project
Project title *
GxAlert
Description *
The GeneXpertTM device was designed to integrate into Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) so they could receive orders for diagnosis and automatically send results. GxAlert acts as a proxy for any specific LIS. Results are automatically sent from a GeneXpertTM over an Internet connection to the GxAlert application. GxAlert then provides robust and clear documentation to connect your existing M&E systems (like eTB Manager). With the introduction of GxAlert in 2012, the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Health added a 3G USB modem and innovative processes to their existing GeneXpert devices. This allowed them to aggregate Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) tuberculosis tests results in real-time, directly into eTB Manager, enabling faster treatment of MDR-TB.
