Information about the project
Project title *
Data Collection for Health Monitoring and for Lobby and Advocacy
Description *
IICD works on mobile-enabled monitoring and evaluation of implementation of pro-poor policies in the health sector. The programme has established District Citizen Monitoring teams, which use mobile data collection tools to reach and make the voices of poor populations heard in remote and difficult locations, and to learn the real impact of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) on its key target groups. With the use of mobiles, data is easily collected and updated, analysed, and the findings can be effectively disseminated to key stakeholders including focal NGOs, policy influencers and decision makers. Data registration takes considerably less time resulting in more visits, more and easier data registration and analysis, and faster and more accurate reporting.
