Puntos México Conectado: Digital innovation and education community centers
PMC
Puntos México Conectado are an educational locally-based centers focused on digital literacy and innovation. The centers’ objectives are: • To help to reduce the digital divide of the population through training in digital skills. • To provide additional educational opportunities for children based on technology (robotics and programming courses). • To promote entrepreneurship and provide tools for youth to enable them to develop technology based projects. The network includes 32 Puntos México Conectado, one per state, located in cities with more than 40,000 inhabitants and in areas with low income population identified with high delinquency rates.

The project’s partners include government agencies such as the National Entrepreneurship Institute and the Ministry of Economy, industry technological partners and some of the most qualified organizations in the fields of the offered courses such as robotics, digital literacy, innovation and entrepreneurship, among others.
