In Nepal, despite rapid digital transformation, a significant gender gap persists in ICT participation. To address this, Women in Information Technology (WIIT), in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Yala, organized a dynamic event to raise awareness, build skills, and inspire young women to pursue education and careers in ICT. Held on April 23, 2025, the initiative aimed to promote digital inclusion, equip girls with foundational ICT knowledge, and encourage schools and local authorities to support gender diversity in technology. The highlight of the program was a vibrant walkathon, which commenced at Harisiddhi Secondary School in Lalitpur and wound through key community landmarks before concluding at Ni: Ba: Harisiddhi. Over 300 participants, including students from four local schools, ward officials, scouts, and members of Misa Pucha and Rotary Club of Yala, joined the event. The walkathon featured motivational placards, traditional Dhime Baja music, and cultural attire, creating an energetic and celebratory atmosphere. A placard competition added a creative touch, with Vishow Bidhya Mandir, Peoples Secondary School, and Harisiddhi Secondary School securing top prizes.
