The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) successfully organized the "Girls in ICT Day Program 2025" on 29th April at the Wayamba National College of Education, Bingiriya, Sri Lanka in line with the global initiative led by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Held under the 2025 theme “Girls in ICT for Inclusive Digital Transformation,” the event aimed to encourage the participation of girls and young women in STEM and ICT fields. The program featured interactive sessions and presentations by resource persons from universities, Ministry of Education, government organizations and telecom operators. Key topics included the role of teachers in inclusive digital transformation, the importance of ICT education for girls, ICT career pathways, and online safety. The sessions provided pre-service teachers and staff with valuable insights into empowering girls through technology and fostering inclusive digital development.
