THE NATIONAL EVENT celebration on Thursday, April 24, 2025, under the global theme: "Girls in ICT for an Inclusive Digital Transformation." Venue: THE NATIONAL INNOVATION HUB- Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT), Nakawa Time: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (EAT)This national event gathered students from 10 schools, educators, government officials, development partners, and representatives from the private sector to celebrate the achievements of the regional engagements and reaffirm our collective commitment to promoting gender equity in the digital space. The Guest of Honor was Dr. Aminah Zawedde, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance.We were also honored to have the Executive Director of Uganda Communications Commission open the national event.We had a panel discussion by notable Women in ICT; Ms Sherifah Tumusiime- CEO of Zimba Women, Ms. Marcella Karekye- Director, the Government Citizen Interaction Centre, Ms. Gorretti Byomire- Director, Disability Resource & Learning Centre and Ms. Vivian Dambya, a Digital Transformation Architect
