Savana Signatures hosted an empowering celebration of the International Day of Girls in ICT at in Tamale under the theme "Girls in ICT for Inclusive Digital Transformation. The event brought together girls from basic and senior high schools in Tamale, teachers, ICT practitioners, and activists to raise awareness and inspire the next generation of women in technology.A presentation was made on this year’s theme for the celebration. Motivational video documentaries of girls and black women thriving in tech professions were screened, emphasizing the limitless potential of girls when given access and opportunity.One of the highlights of the event was a motivational speech on "My Journey into Tech as a Young Woman" by Naazira Abdallah, where she shared her life and how she overcame difficulties to join the tech industry. This was followed by a presentation on "Opportunities for Girls in ICT" by Shafawu Mohammed Nurudeen, where she outlined opportunities and resources that exist for girls to take up technology-related disciplines. Solidarity message was received from the Northern Regional Director of Education in Ghana.
