Description of the event
|
In Pakistan, while strides have been made in expanding digital access, gender disparities persist, particularly in remote and underserved regions. The Universal Service Fund (USF), operating under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, has played a pivotal role in bridging this divide through infrastructure development, community broadband programs, and digital skills training for girls. This seminar by USF, aligned with the 2025 ITU theme “Girls in ICT for Inclusive Digital Transformation,” aims to commemorate the day through an inclusive and multi-stakeholder platform that ensures policy dialogue, learning, and cross-sector collaboration. By engaging parliamentarians, policymakers, technology leaders, and digital inclusion advocates, the seminar will promote evidence-based discussions on closing the gender digital divide.
