International Girls in ICT Day 2025On April 23, 2025, the Iran Chamber of Commerce hosted a national-level event to celebrate International Girls in ICT Day. Organized by the ICT Commission and led by Ms. Sadina Abaie, the program brought together the Minister of ICT, Vice President for Women Affairs, Government Spokesperson, UNICEF Representative, and young female entrepreneurs, students, and tech talents.Key highlights included the official launch of the Digital Girl of the Year award, unveiling of the bilingual GirlsinICT platform, expert panels on women-led startups, and mentorship sessions between students and leading women in ICT. The Chamber also released a formal declaration advocating inclusive digital transformation.This initiative aligns with UN SDGs 5, 8, 9, and 17, and reflects the private sector’s commitment to digital inclusion and gender equity in Iran’s tech ecosystem.

The event is organized by the ICT Commission of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA). The initiative is led by Ms. Sadina Abaie, Chair of the ICT Commission, in collaboration with national stakeholders including the Ministry of ICT, the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, and UNICEF Iran.
