Description of the event
This event is organized in commemoration of the International Day of Girls in ICT (April 25th), a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of increasing female participation in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. In alignment with this mission, we aim to highlight the crucial role of women in cybersecurity, a field where gender representation remains disproportionately low. Our goal is to demystify cybersecurity careers, showcase real-world experiences, inspire girls to join the cybersecurity sector, and provide practical guidance for young women interested in entering this exciting field. Led by professionals from various cybersecurity fields, the webinar will explain the areas of specialization within the sector, as well as the opportunities it offers for young women. The event will also feature an interactive session where young participants can ask questions and learn how to start their journey in this vital field that greatly needs their involvement.
