Event Description: International Girls in ICT Day 2025The Community Development Foundation (CDF) and the Global Women’s Development Network (GWDN), in collaboration with leading IT, ICT, and high-tech partners, proudly invite you to celebrate International Girls in ICT Day 2025 on April 24th under the theme: “Girls in ICT for Inclusive Digital Transformation”This year’s event will be a game-changer for young girls, particularly from grassroots communities, as we focus on equipping them with essential digital skills, career opportunities, and financial independence through ICT. Foundation Program:Digital Confidence for GirlsGoal:To help girls aged 14–24 gain basic digital literacy, build confidence using tech, and prepare them for more advanced, income-generating skills. 1. Basic Computer & Internet Skills• What they learn: Using a mouse, keyboard shortcuts, browser, files & folders, screenshots2. Understanding the Internet Safely• What they learn: Browsing, search engines, URLs, avoiding scams, privacy basics3. Using Email, Google Drive & Cloud Tools• What they learn: How to write/send emails, attach files, use Google Docs, Slides & Drive4. Introduction to Canva (Basic Design Tool)• What they learn: Create a simple poster or invitation5. Intro to Mobile Apps for Work• What they learn: Using mobile phones for productivity – not just social!6. Short & Fun: "What Jobs Can Tech Help Me Do?"• What they learn: The connection between tech skills and real-world income
