Description of the event
|
The event “New Technological Trends from a Female Perspective” is a key initiative promoted by the Immersive Learning Network (RAIN) in collaboration with Mujeres TIC EC, designed to empower young Ecuadorian high school students in STEM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). This space promotes inclusion and female leadership in technology, closing the gender gap in a sector historically dominated by men.The event is held within the framework of the International Girls in ICT Day, promoted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and brings together students, specialists and strategic allies to encourage the active participation of young women in technological fields. Through practical workshops, motivational talks and competitions, the aim is to develop technological skills applied to solving real problems, highlighting the positive impact of technology on society.By 2025, the event will reach its third edition, consolidating itself as a national benchmark in the promotion of gender equality in technology.
