Description of the event
|
Despite the challenges and the ongoing war in Sudan, the Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority (TPRA) remains committed to its programs and efforts in empowering girls in information and communications technologies (ICT). As part of this commitment, we are pleased to inform you that TPRA, in collaboration with Google Developers Group - Sudan, will be organizing training programs to celebrate the International Girls in ICT Day 2024 -which will be celebrated on 25th April 2024 under the theme "leadership".The objective of these programs is to enhance young girls' programming skills using the Scratch language. Participants will undergo comprehensive training and upon completion of the course, they will present a project of their own design to a jury. The jury will then select the winning team based on their project's merits. Additionally, participants will receive certificates of attendance at the conclusion of the course.We believe that fostering ICT skills among girls is crucial for their personal and professional development, as well as for the advancement of our society and the fulfillment of our commitments to the International
