Description of the event
|
The Internet Governance Forum Czechia (IGF Czechia) and She Goes Digital Kenya have joined hands to orchestrate an impactful and empowering online event on the 25th of April, 2024, in celebration of Girls in ICT Day 2024. IGF Czechia, founded and coordinated by Natálie Terčová, is a national regional initiative (NRI) of the global Internet Governance Forum which seeks to foster multistakeholder cooperation on Internet governance issues. Additionally, IGF Czechia conducts educational activities and fosters dialogue on internet-related matters nationally, while bridging these national insights to the global high-impact gatherings. She Goes Digital Kenya, founded and led by Valarie Waswa, is a social enterprise in Kenya that is dedicated to empowering women to benefit maximally from the digital space. Its mission is to bridge the gender digital divide by providing women with digital skills, access to devices, and essential resources, enabling them to thrive in the digital marketplace and generate a decent income.This year’s theme for Girls in ICT Day is: “Leadership: Underscoring the critical need for strong female role models in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
