Description of the event
|
This program, ICT symposium is divided into two phases to empower girls to lead.a)visit secondary schools in Kiribati for students of girls, &b)visit communities in one of the selected island for Smart island project for young women in business.1, ICT symposium - targeting girls and young women- visit school for girls to leverage technology in school i) career talk on ICT field ii) digital skills program - basic online tools using Google drive to store resources: files & school materials iii) basic cyber security awarenessOutcome: girls are expected to gain knowledge and understanding the career of ICT field, learn and understand ICT basic tools to store materials online and lastly but not the least they are able to safeguard themselves using internet.- visit communities training young women to leverage technology in business on the following topics: i)Digital skills & Innovations ii) Mobile app iii)Marketing tips using online tool iv)Google service to store resources v)Cyber security awareness vi)Training of Trainers Outcome: young women are empowered with modern technologies and tools and be able to lead in entrepreneurship.
