Description of the event
|
ICT Day 2024 will be led by a group of people in COLOMBIA, South America, belonging to a Network and Ecosystem in Science, Technology and Innovation and THE WOMEN IT community, who from the academic, NGO and business sectors promote closing the gap in gender, inspiring and encouraging more young women towards STEAM careers, in order to have greater female representation in our institutes, universities and companies in all economic sectors.This year our EXPLORE MARS event will have talks, conferences and workshops aimed at 300 public school students between 15 and 17 years old, in order to share experiences of women in science and technology careers, who inspire them to pursue their dreams and a shared dynamic that involves aspects of Science, Technology whose motto will be to learn more about Mars and how it can be explored based on scientific data and involving various disciplines. These girls live in a municipality called Tocancipá, in the department of Cundinamarca, who will have access to information about academic training and scholarship options available.
