Description of the event
|
Girls and ICT Day in the Province of Uige, Angola will be organized by the Provincial Education Office in Uige. It will bring together more than 500 girls, including students of high schools, university students, women, in order to share their experience on the use of ICT in their daily lives, on choosing courses linked to Computer Engineering, exact sciences such as Mathematics, Physics and others that used to be for boys. The program will include several activities such as testimonies of women who use ICT to entrepreneurship, in the workplace, theaters by students on IT courses, music and exposure of women/ girls in the world of ICT. Various entities will be invited. There will be award moments. His Excellency Provincial Governor will be invited to give the opening speech.The event will have a round table with discussions around girls and ICT. Women will be part of the round table. That will be the first time in our Province nad it will very interesting event for Girls in ITC.We will publicize the event via the media. There will be a debate on the provincial radio. There will also be training for women and girls at the Uige Technology Center, in the Advanced Computing course.
