Description of the event
|
We will welcome 40 girls aged 12 to 14, from 3 different elementary schools at our company in Kragujevac, Serbia.In a relaxed and nice atmosphere, with refreshments and some sweets, our female engineers will share their educational and working path while female leaders from different sectors in the company will answer questions about their work/life balance and encourage the girls that it is something that can be achieved. Last year we provided the participants with a Scratch workshop and since it was a great success, we will most probably have it again.Our aim is to provide the girls with role models and true-life stories that are realistic to them, especially since all of our colleagues at the location are locals and most of them attended the same schools these girls are going to. We try to promote local community in this way, as in Serbia we have a trend where many people are leaving their native towns and villages, navigating towards two biggest cities, Belgrade and Novi Sad.Kragujevac is an important industrial city but without many activities of this kind and this is the main reason why our event will take place for the second time at this location.
