Description of the event
|
This year Girls in ICT at Asuansi Technical Institute (ASUTECH) shall be organized virtually. ASUTECH is the first Technical Institution in Ghana, established on 12th August, 1917. The institute offers Engineering and Technology courses including ICT/Computer Hardware Technology. The event will recognize and celebrate the Girls in ICT in ASUTECH, as part of leadership and career guidance in ICT, bridging the leadership gender gap, revealing opportunities in ICT, and motivating the students, especially the Girls in ICT, under the theme: Leadership. The event will be observed on Thursday, 25th April, 2024. Preliminaries include celebrating Girls in STEM on Wednesday 21st February 2024, which will coalesce the launching of the virtual Girls in ICT at ASUTECH. There will be speeches delivered virtual or in presence of dignitaries such as educational directors, women in higher positions and ICT Career Women in Ghana and abroad. There shall be periodic display of digital skills by the Girls in ICT in the Institute, in the months of February and March.
