|
Girls in ICT Day 2024 event concept On April 25, 2024, we will join the UN-ITU members states to celebrate the International Day of Girls in ICT 2024, in Paynesville’s city, Liberia, West Africa. Background While we are fully aware that a fully integrated programme to address such issues are required in Liberia to address the ICT gender Gap -mentioned in many other past events. This year’s Global Theme: focusing on Women Leadership issues as regard ICT and young women, we believe that we are able to begin to empower and inspire young women through A ONE-DAY WORKSHOP FOR ICT DAY 2024. We are proposing a workshop that focuses on leadership for girls in the ICT Space. We believe that this is critical as we have to develop girls as leaders in this space so that they can further empower themselves with the opportunities they gain from ICT training, as well as be able to pass on such knowledge to their spheres of influence. More than this, they need to progress within the ICT space with a mind-set of « extreme » excellence.
