Mr. Bernard Kirk
Bernard is CEO of The Camden Education Trust. A former primary school teacher he was responsible for teacher training in his region for 21 years. During this time he was deeply committed to supporting the education and integration of young people with Special Education Needs.
In 2014 he co-founded Africa Code Week, one of the largest digital literacy initiatives organised on the African continent, involving over 2.3 million young people in 35 countries in 2018. Africa Code Week is an initiative by SAP. Bernard has also created public/private partnerships to benefit young people in education with companies such as Medtronic, Accenture, EA Games, HP and SOS Ventures.
Since 2016, Bernard is Chairperson of Philanthropy Ireland.
In 2013 Bernard was awarded anHonorary Masters in Science by the National University of Ireland Galway for his contribution to Education in Ireland.
