EBU joins BBC International Girls in ICT Day 2019

The EBU (European Broadcasting Union) is joining BBC Young Reporter and BBC WiSTEM celebration of International Girls in ICT Day.  Local girls and young women at BBC Birmingham plus BBC Salford will spend the day at hands-on workshops and activities with BBC staff and STEM ambassadors, as well as taking part in a live link-up with the EBU in Geneva.

 The EBU, together with its Members such as the BBC, has a longstanding experience of collaboration with the ITU and is happy to join the initiative of giving girls an opportunity to challenge stereotypes, learn more about STEM roles and to connect with successful women working in those roles across the world.
