This year, from 25th till 29th of April, Wennovation Hub shall be celebrating the Girls in ICT day event for the first time at its Lagos Office, Nigeria. 

The event is designed to engage girls and young women with ICT through motivational talks from our highly esteemed invited guests who are currently thriving in ICT related fields, from a University Lecturer to a Tech Blogger, our participants will surely enjoy the best of ICT and be motivated to start their careers in related fields also. 

At the event, we shall have a hands-on session to be led by a VR expert, where every participant would be exposed to Virtual Reality Media and how they can start various businesses in the same area of ICT.

The event is also going to be used as an avenue for the launch of our Women-in-Tech and Makers-Space here in Lagos for training girls (ages 10-18) on Data Science, Robotics and Machine Learning, scheduled to start running fully this summer. 

The event will host over 40 girls at the hub and ensure they all benefit from the program through our M&E systems. 

There shall be online training in partnership with Andela and Pluralsight to empower 200 girls with ICT skills in web and app development for free, starting from 25th of April through the end of the program. 

Participants shall be awarded Certificates of Attendance after the event.
