To celebrate International Girls in ICT Day 2019, eSkills4Girls Ghana will be organizing a Tech Career Day for 70 Junior High School girls, in partnership with Developers in Vogue and NIIT Ghana.

During this program, the girls will be asked to research on career opportunities in the tech industry. They will then present their findings to a group of judges who will provide feedback and advice. In attendance will also be mentors who will have group mentorship sessions with the girls. At the end of the day, some of girls will be given the opportunity to participate in a job shadowing day at tech companies in Ghana where they would get to spend the day working closely with a tech professional. This will provide an avenue for the girls to get acquainted with a work day at a tech company.

We believe that the experience of the girls will be instrumental to sparking an interest in pursuing their further education in Computer Science related courses and eventually taking up a career in the tech industry.
