CARICOM Secretariat Girls in ICT Online Media Blitz

Each year, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat joins in celebrating International Girls in ICT Day by conducting activities to empower and encourage girls and young women to consider careers in ICT. This year, on Girls in ICT Day, the CARICOM Secretariat will conduct a ‘soft’ online media launch of its year-long programme of activities.

The online launch will be done via the CARICOM Social Network Sites on Girls in ICT Day, and will take the form of Polls, Surveys, and Features of regional / national girls and women in ICT, flash back videos and photographs, which will be via the Secretariat’s social media platforms (CARICOM today, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube).

A number of national and regional entities will be a part of this online media blitz. As we celebrate Girls in ICT, the following hashtags will be used: #caricomgirlsinict; #caricomwomeninict; #caricom<organisationname/countryname>girlsinICT; #girlsinstem; #girlsinsteam; #caricomtechies; #CaricompartneringforICTgirls

Various activities will be held during the year to continue this celebration.
