Ministry of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology (MDIIT) in collaboration with the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) has set up a Chamber for Women in Digital which will be launched by Hon. Ajith P Perera, Minister of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology, on 02nd of May whilst celebrating the International Girls in ICT Day. The event will take place from 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm at the auditorium, Ministry of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology, 437, Galle Road, Colombo 03.

The Women’s Chamber for Digital is an initiative proposed by Hon. Minister Ajith P. Perera, Minister of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology (MDIIT), facilitated and driven by the personnel in the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA).

The Women’s Chamber for Digital, Sri Lanka will be the main driving force of the government’s policy on women empowerment whilst accelerating Sri Lanka’s digital economic growth by empowered women. The entity is supported by the Ministry of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology, Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, Ministry of Education and many pioneering women leaders in the country. The chamber will assist the above via 4Es namely; Education, Entrepreneurship, Engagement and Empowerment whilst implementing projects/initiatives to support women through advocacy, mentoring & guidance, networking and policy level developments.
