About the Faculty of Informatics, University of Debrecen

The University of Debrecen is more than 450 years old, it is Hungary’s oldest higher education institution operated continuously in the same city and as one of the largest educational centers of the country it is a central player in Hungarian higher education.

It has outstanding educational, research, and innovation capacities in international comparison as well and based on these it plays a major role in the realization of objectives of national strategy. It is also one of the top 500 universities in the world. The student community of 30,000 can study in 14 faculties.

Faculty of Informatics has a new and modern building where more than 2000 students study year by year. It has many majors on every level.

About the Girls' and Girls in ICT Day

Girls' Day and Girls in ICT events are international, interactive, free, career orientation programs for high school and elementary school girls.

We organize this career orientation day every year since 2013.

The motto of this year is: Be here virtually and in real, too!

Girls can join many of our programs from snake-charmer through some security issues and secret rooms to the magics of virtual reality. The programs are interactive, the girls can participate in the programs' activities.

They can try gadgets, they can design or print objects, they can find the exit from secret-rooms or draw by using some algorithms. Many other exciting programs will wait for the girls.
