Girls’ day was launched by the Lebanese League for Women in Business (LLWB) in 2016 in partnership with Global Partners Project (GPP) in Germany. The initiative aims to introduce girls between the ages of 16-18 to careers in the STEAM fields through inviting them to become employees for two hours in STEAM departments in private sector companies.

During its first year, Girls’ day was held in Beirut, targeting around 35 students in private schools. The students were hosted by 4 private sector companies. In 2019, Girls' Day took place across four regions in Lebanon including Beirut, South Lebanon, North Lebanon and Beqaa. A total of 423 students participated in the event and were hosted by 43 companies across all four regions.

This year's event was sponsored by Alfa and the Qudra Programme financed by the EU Regional Trust Fund "Madad" and the German Cooperation.
