Creation Society Nepal, a youth lead non profit making organization is organizing a two days training on Net for good for girls in collaboration with Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) and Rural / Municipalities (at district level) to mark the celebration of the International Girls in ICT day 2019. This program is designed to equip girls with appropriate knowledge and skills to save and protect themselves from entering into such crimes through effective use of on-line media.

To enhance the capacity to tackle Online girls Sexual Exploitation and the work on digital citizenship and youth engagement, the "#NET4GooD" initiative focuses on online abuse and sexual exploitation. This includes the protection of girls from violence, sexual exploitation and abuse facilitated through information and communication technologies (ICTs). The proposed program will efforts to protect girls from all forms of violence, exploitation and abuse in all settings along with career in ICT for Girls.

The program has to reach 138 girls though training and more 276 girls form pair to pair sharing of the learning. The Program has been conducted on four different locations of  Nepal namely 1. Tatopani Rural municipality, Jumla, 2. Amargadi Municipality, Dadeldhura, 3. Khanikhola Rural Municipality, Kavrepalanchok and 4. Phidim Municipality, Panchthar. Girls of 12 to 23 age group has be participated from each ward of the rural Municipality on inclusive participation basis. Various experts in social media, online safety , ICT will deliver their experience.

A lot of cases which were social media based faced by the participants or within their circles were known.

  1. Girls were able to know the various sectors, scope and applications of internet social media and ICTs.
  2. Participant were able to distinguish possible risk, harm and abuse from internet and social media.
  3. They are capable to follow preventive and post preventive measure from online risk.
  4. They are able to manage their security measures in social networks.
  5. Learning from the field could be incorporate to formulate new policies.
