The NTRC will conduct a one day workshop to introduce Secondary School girls to the BBC Micro:bit. Five (5) girls will be selected from each high school and the workshop will take the form of discussions, and demonstration of the micro:bit and expose the students to the kit and coding as a whole.  Girls will then be placed in groups and given the task of carrying out an activity per group.  They will then demonstrate their activity to the wider group. 

Resource personnel will demonstrate the uses of the kit and this will hopefully motivate the schools to purchase kits of their own to encourage students to code.
