BBC International Girls in ICT Day 2019

BBC Young Reporter and BBC WiSTEM are celebrating International Girls in ICT Day at BBC Birmingham plus BBC Salford. Local girls and young women will spend the day at hands-on workshops and activities with BBC staff and STEM ambassadors, as well as taking part in a live link-up with the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) in Geneva.

The BBC, a long-serving sector member of the ITU, is giving girls an opportunity to understand how ICT underpins so much of what it does and will also showcase the amazing breadth of what broadcasters do technically. It’s also a great opportunity to link up BBC women and men who already have STEM careers, with girls and young women in the UK and across the world.
