Bytedance Supports Gender Equality in Tech

A recent S&P 100 report revealed that only 9% of executive officers in Silicon Valley are women and that to address this gender gap in the tech sector female students entering university and the workforce should be directly engaged. In line with this recommendation, Bytedance hosted the Bytedance Tech Day for Students event on April 15 th , to introduce Bytedance’s AI Lab’s capabilities and technology advancements to high school students in Beijing. The event, supported by the International Telecommunication Union and She Loves Tech, coincided with the annual International Girls in ICT (Information and Communications Technology) Day, which aims to create a global environment that empowers and encourages girls and young women to consider careers in the growing ICT field.
