National ICT council Organised Workshop on Cyber Security for Girls and women

On the occasion of International Girls in ICT day 2018, National ICT council organised a workshop on "Cyber Security for Girls and Women" for girls in Kathmandu Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) college premises. In the Workshop,  Deputy Director of Nepal Telecommunications Authority, Ms. Roja Kiran Basukala highlighted the importance of making ICT career for girls and awared the security risks in cyber space for girls. Data Security Expert of Sunrise Bank Limited , Ms. Dibya Tara Shakya warned girls regarding data loss in internet. She explained the security measures to be taken for data security in internet network. Similarly, Vice President of Computer Association of Nepal Federation, Ms. Sunaina Pandey delivered some examples of successful role models in ICT sector to encourage more girls in ICT sector. Around 100 girls of KIST college participated in the event.
