Nepal Telecommunications Authority(NTA) marked Girls in ICT day program with Morning procession attended by girls and women representing ICT related organizations. The Morning Procession (Walkathon) happened in the centre of capital city Kathmandu following the route from Maitighar - Bhadrakali, Martyr's gate, Jamal, Kamaladi at NTA premises in order to sensitize International Girls in ICT day. 

The Walkathon was followed by a formal program at Nepal Academy. Communication and Information Technology State Minister Mr. Gokul Prasad Baskota inagurated the event and awarded the winners of Hackathon held in 22 April organised by NTA in collaboration with Women Leaders in Technology. The minister also awarded Top 5 National Women Role Models contributing in ICT sector. The program briefed about the upcoming girls in ICT events throughout the nation. The program also had panel discussion with top 5 role models followed by showcasing the ICT products developed by girls. Around 100 girls and women participated the event.
