Microsoft #MakeWhatNext - DigiGirlz and Hack for Culture of Peace

Microsoft hold #MakeWhatsNext – DigiGirlz 2018 Thailand event in order to empowering girls to be in STEM. Girls have get inspired by our guests who are young women in CS filed in different industries such as Ooca – a successful start-up provides platform for doctor and patient to meet, Johnson & Johnson as well as Microsoft. Girls also learnt basic coding through fun and creative Minecraft tutorial. 

Microsoft also partnered with UNESCO and Change Fusion to hold UNESCO – Microsoft Hack For ASEAN Culture of Peace in order to provide an opportunity for female web/mobile application developers work with male to compete in a Hackathon and win the trophy awarded by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Create an application using the lessons from Shared Histories of South-East Asia that responds to “How can everyone enjoy the culture of peace and understand that history is for harmony, not conflict?” The concept is Girls and Boys can work together to make big things using STEM. We have 68% of young female vs 32% of young male register to this competition.
