CTIC Centro Tecnológico - Gijón SmartKids: Visita a la Milla del Conocimiento con #GirlsinICT

En el marco del Proyecto Gijón SmartKids el alumnado de centros educativos del municipio de Gijón realiza Visitas a la Milla del Conocimiento. En esta ocasión, las niñas y niños participantes de enseñanza primaria, además de conocer y experimentar con algunas de las tecnologías más innovadoras, tendrán la posibilidad de conocer la trayectoria formativa y profesional de diferentes mujeres vinculadas a empresas y proyectos tecnológicos.

Las tecnólogas e investigadoras trasladarán al alumnado su experiencia, cómo ha sido su trayectoria profesional y en qué proyectos están trabajando actualmente y en cuáles han participado. Las participantes son: 

  • * Arabela García Costales, ingeniera informática.  Actualmente su actividad en el proyecto EmprendeGeek de CTIC. Es Consultora TIC con más de 12 años de experiencia profesional en diversas entidades y organismos tales como Asociación Cluster TIC, ÉDESIS la Consejería de Salud del Principado de Asturias (en el proyecto ÉDESIS),  CAST (Consorcio Asturiano de Servicios Tecnológicos), Elinor (como jefa de marketing digital). 

  • * Azahara Fernández Guizán. Licenciada en en Biología Sanitaria y Máster en Neurociencias y Biología del Comportamiento. Investigadora en las conexiones neuronales que participan en el proceso del aprendizaje y Doctora en Inmunología. Técnica Superior de Desarrollo de Aplicaciones Multiplataforma. Actualmente es desarrolladora en ASP.Net MVC en Capgemini. Cuenta con varias certificaciones como la de MCSA: Microsoft Software Applications Developer y Scrum Manager. 

  • * Integrantes del equipo Wolfast Uniovi, representante de la Universidad de Oviedo en la competición internacional MotoStudent, promovida por la Fundación Moto Engineering. En MotoStudent cada equipo universitario participante diseña una moto de competición bajo unos condicionantes técnicos y económicos y posteriormente, proyectar su industrialización y distribución. Además deben construir el prototipo de esa moto y competir en un circuito de velocidad.

    • * Cristina Fernández Díaz, integrante del departamento de Chasis. Es estudiante de ingeniería mecánica. 

    • * Noelia Galafat Díaz, estudiante de cuarto curso de Marina Civil, e integrante del departamento de fabricación

    • * Mar Gómez García, piloto e integrante del equipo desde el año 2015. Graduada en Biología y actualmente estudiando el Máster en Biotecnología Aplicada a la Conservación y Gestión Sostenible de Recursos Vegetales.

Within the framework of the Gijón SmartKids Project, students from educational centres in the municipality of Gijón visit the Mile of Knowledge. On this occasion, the girls and boys participating in primary education, in addition to learning about and experimenting with some of the most innovative technologies, will have the opportunity to learn about the training and professional careers of different women involved in companies and technological projects.

The technologists and researchers will share their experience with the students, what their professional career has been like and what projects they are currently working on and in which they have participated. The participants are:

  • * Arabela García Costales, computer engineer.  Currently, he is working on the CTIC's EmprendeGeek project. She is an ICT Consultant with more than 12 years of professional experience in various entities and organizations such as the ICT Cluster Association, ÉDESIS the Ministry of Health of the Principality of Asturias (in the ÉDESIS project), CAST (Consorcio Asturiano de Servicios Tecnológicos), Elinor (as head of digital marketing).

  • * Azahara Fernández Guizán. Graduate in Health Biology and Master in Neurosciences and Behavioral Biology. Researcher in the neuronal connections that participate in the learning process and Doctor of Immunology. Superior Technique of Multiplatform Application Development. She is currently a developer at ASP.Net MVC in Capgemini. He has several certifications such as MCSA: Microsoft Software Applications Developer and Scrum Manager.

  • * Members of the Wolfast Uniovi team, representative of the University of Oviedo in the international MotoStudent competition, promoted by the Moto Engineering Foundation. In MotoStudent, each participating university team designs a competition bike under technical and economic conditions and then plans its industrialization and distribution. They must also build the prototype of that bike and compete on a speed track.
