Girls Day is a career day for girls. In 2018 Gender Studies, o.p.s. (an NGO from Prague, Czech Republic) is organising the 6th year of the event.

On Girls Day girls are given the opportunity to look into the operations of companies, to get acquainted with interesting job positions and people from practice, and at the same time to get a more concrete idea of what the work in the technical fields involves. Companies have prepared a special program to allow Girls Day visitors to try and learn something new and draw inspiration for their future study or work career. Girls Day will take place in Prague, Brno, Plzeň a Mladá Boleslav.

The aim of Girls Day is to encourage the interest of girls in non-traditional, especially technical fields. Lack of women in technical professions is a long-term problem, as aresult, it is hard for companies to find enough employees as they keep losing the potential of women. On the other hand, there are women who thus miss the opportunity to get involved in STEM jobs and find self-fulfill in these prestigious and increasingly important fields for society.
