Baker College will host a daylong event in support of International Girls in ICT.  The International Girls in ICT initiative is a global effort to encourage girls and young women to consider studies and careers in information and communication technologies (ICT). 

The daylong event will have our participants: 

  1. 1. build a drone or robotic car from a kit; 
  2. 2. program their drone or robotic car and operate it; 
  3. 3. modify the programming code and test the results on the functionality of their drone or robotic car; and 
  4. 4. finish the day by learning how to hack and defend their drone or robotic car.  

All of the girls will keep their drone or robotic car to remind them of their achievement and continue to feed their interest in ICT and STEM fields.
