Gender Center - Center for Equity and Equality of the Government of the Republika Srpska this year once again, celebrated the “Girls in ICT Day!” This year we celebrated this day with our partners, IT Company LANACO and Innovation Center Banja Luka (ICBL) and organized a variety of activities and events.

CALENDAR OF ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

• 07/04/2017. Gender Center RS in partnership with the Company LANACO and the ICBL announced a call for the submission of creative design solutions to solve problems in their local communities through the use of information technology. Conceptual designs should be a platform for the development of software products. The first three conceptual designs were awarded.

• 26/04/2017. ICBL organized the following activities:

- "TIME CODING - participants had the opportunity to learn to code and become familiar with coding in practice and see specific product of coding.

- Virtual Reality (Virtual Reality) - participants had opportunity to experience the world of virtual reality and to become familiar with the process of creating virtual reality materials.

- E-GAMING (online platform for playing) - participants had opportunity to learn about the IT sector through e-gaming. They played on game consoles such as the X-Box and Nintendo Wii, and also they met developers of online games for the Balkan region who gave them interesting advises for becoming one of the game developers.

• 27/04/2017. Central event was organized in LANACO Technological Center Banja Luka

 - Conference "Expand your horizons" was organized to celebrate Girls in ICT Day, 2017. Young people from high schools had opportunity to hear motivational speeches from woman engineers who has many years of experience in the IT sector, and visited the first intelligent building in BiH.
