Nepal Mahila Bishwasi Sangh (YWCA Nepal), Celebration of Girls in ICT Day

In the context of Nepal, there are a less percentage of girls and women enrolling in IT field. People have misconception that the technical subjects are meant for men only. Through the celebration of International Girls in ICT Day, Nepal Mahila Bishwasi Sangh (YWCA of Nepal) wanted to create awareness about scopes and importance of ICT. With the young woman software engineer and female news reporter as resource personnel, female students get motivated and empowered that they can also do many things in IT sectors. There were altogether 66 female students participated in the program. The program was recorded and broadcasted in national radio (Radio Nepal).
