GIRLS AWARENESS IN IT-PROFESSION,HEARING FROM FEMALE ROLE MODEL

Introduction

Girl in ICT is celebrated each forth of April every year, so as to motivate and encourage girls to consider carriers in the field of ICT.

For the first time GLENRONS GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL of Tanzania celebrated Girls in ICT Day on 22rd April 2017 at KILUVYA DAR ES SALAAM TANZANIA where young enthusiastic girls attended to hear about ICT opportunities from the female role model. GIRLS AWARENESS IN IT-PROFESSION organized a successful one-day event that influenced positive change to the young girls.

Objectives

The objectives of the event were to:

  • To introduce International Girls in ICT day.
  • To make them aware about ICT and its opportunity
  • To make them aware on how they can use ICT to change their lives through innovation.

Sessions 

The event was open by the Event Organizer by introducing her self and Girls in ICT day so as all the girls should be aware of it.

Then hear from them whom they what to be in future and to let them know how to use ICT knowledge to reach there dreams because now days ICT is every where.

And madam Carolyne Ekarisiima as a role model she stand for career guidance and innovation

also GIRLS AWARENESS IN IT-PROFESSION members give out their touching and inspired stories.

CONCLUSION

Girls were inspired by the speakers and they were empowered to continue/start studding ICT studies.

They were so happy to get the chance to attend on the Girls in ICT Day.
