Let's overcome prejudice and explain why IT is a real hit for girls.Motivating girls in elementary school is of key importance in boosting ICT interests, which will have an even greater share in the future of the world economy, including the Montenegrin economy. In doing so, their teachers have a great role in motivating girls, and this year, within the framework of the Girls' Day in ICT, 2019, the Association of IT and Information Technologists in cooperation with Crnogorski Telekom, and with the support of the Ministry of Education, organizes workshops for girls, which will be held on April 25, 2019. Girls, ages 7 to 14, are invited to participate in workshops where they will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the basic steps of programming and managing a robot.

This job requires creativity, imagination, and intuition, and we know that all of the things mentioned, especially the last one are characteristic of the female sex.Workshops lasting two hours will be performed at three locations:

  • Elementary school "Vlado Milic", Podgorica - teacher Milica Markovic
  • Elementary School "Štampar Makarije", Podgorica - teachers Marija Mugoša and Biljana Popović
  • Elementary school "Aleksa Đilas Bećo", Mojkovac - teacher Ivan Grdinić

Participants of the program Mali programeri (Young developers) will participate in the workshops, which is supported by the Montenegrin Telekom for two years in a row.
