The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek (FERIT) for the fourth time organizes Girls in ICT Day for the purpose of promoting information and communication technologies (ICTs) and professions in this field amongst elementary and high school students. 

Motivating girls in elementary school, in an appropriate way, is crucial for boosting interest in ICT, which will have an increasing share in the future of the world economy, including the Croatian economy. 

Thereby, great role at motivating girls are their teachers, and this year, within Girls in ICT Day 2019, FERIT organizes a meeting for elementary and high school teachers of math, computer science and physics. Within the meeting, which will be held on 26.04.2019., FERIT will host lectures and panel discussion on "Future professions and Motivating Girls for ICT Careers".
