ITU organized an event in Jakarta, Indonesia in collaboration with UN Indonesia (the RC, UN Women, UNESCO, UNDP, ILO, UNCT), Ministry of Communication and Informatics (MCI), Indonesia and the Mastel (Industry Association). There were 178 participants (95% of them women)  plus the UN team and other organizers taking the total number to over 200.

Dr. S. Ismail Shah, ITU Area Representative for Southeast Asia and other Member States in Asia and the Pacific, gave an opening presentation, followed by remarks by the Secretary General (MCI) and then the RC, UN Indonesia. The BDT Director's video message was also shown.

A panel discussion, with all female panelists,  highlighted different ICT related solution and importance of ICT education for girls. This was followed by a quiz, after which an IPAD and wireless headphone were awarded as prizes to the winner and runner up by Director, Regional Office in Bangkok.
